Stream Realty Partners is one of the fastest-growing full-service commercial real estate companies in the nation. Since 2016, it has had a dedicated team based in Chicago, with offices in the Fulton Market neighborhood—designed by our team—and Rosemont.
This project builds upon the existing relationship with the client, expanding the footprint of the original office in Fulton Market while adding new types of spaces.
The existing office space, playful in character, is complemented by a new client-facing area that is more sophisticated. The expansion provides additional workstations as well as much-needed meeting rooms and phone rooms for privacy.
Both areas are organized around a central wall with a pair of softly lit custom millwork portals allowing fluid circulation without fully opening the space. The wood of the portals relates to the materiality of the social spaces that anchor both ends of the suite.
Other improvements include a new front entrance with visibility from the elevator lobby, a custom sign, new acoustic baffle ceilings in all the small interior conference rooms, and drapery in the existing board room for optional visual privacy as well as improved acoustical performance.
The mural by Kate Lynn Lewis, commissioned for the original office, was maintained and adapted to work with the design of the new portals.
