On Sunday, July 26, Docomomo Chicago organized their annual Summer Social at the Promontory Apartments in Hyde Park. The event included a brief presentation of the history of the Promontory Apartments by Tim Samuelson, resident and Chicago cultural historian, as well as tours of four private apartments in the Mies van der Rohe’s 1949 masterpiece, including the apartment we have renovated in collaboration with Kuehn Malvezzi.
