Julie will present during the 2024 AIAS Midwest Quad Conference, titled “Congruence,” on Friday, September 27, at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

“Congruence” focuses on the architect’s role in an interconnected world. Investigating the idea that projects are influenced by forces beyond design, when the architects serve as mediators between parties to reach agreements, as communities desires, political forces, and design ideas collide to shape the future of our world.

Julie is part of the keynote panel “Architectural Pathways & Exploring Diverse Roles” that includes Michael Murphy (Forefront Structural Engineers LLC), Davey Friday (Perkins&Will), Hana Ishikawa (Site Design Group), and James Holland (SP Murphy Inc, Drumlin Architecture).
