On October 3, Iker will participate in the Concrete Culture conference organized by UIC.

Iker will present during session 1, WHAT WE HAVE. This session examines Chicago’s concrete legacy, exploring iconic buildings, influential figures, and cultural narratives that have defined the city’s built environment. Besides Iker, during this session there will be presentations by Robert Bruegmann, Thomas Leslie, and Amy Slaton. The conversation will be moderated by Alexander Eisenschmidt. Other presenters in the conference include Martin Corullon, Ted C. Fishman, Roger Hubeli, Benton Johnson, Julie Larsen, Patricia Llosa, Caitlin Mueller, and Bob Score.
